The algae series was created in France during a studying and working
stay in Paris and Angers. It started on a project during which I have
been inspired by undergrounds for paintings which I found in place.
Algal paper for preparing sushi and Tipp-Ex® were the base materials.
Collages with papers I had found allowed for some intensification
of the thematic work. This series of more than 50 paintings combines
shamanic-creative French charm with humour and music – edible,
not easily digestible art, fragile and preservable.
